This course is designed to guide you through the layers of your being, fostering self-understanding, self-care, and self-development through meditative practices.
The Kosha System: Your Multidimensional Self
The Kosha System, deeply rooted in yoga philosophy, teaches us to embrace our WHOLENESS. It's a pathway to understanding the purpose of our life and connecting with all facets of our existence.
What are the Koshas?
The term Kosha means "sheath" or "layer," and in yoga, these represent the different aspects of our human experience. The Yoga Koshas are a framework for self-discovery, allowing us to explore and understand our true nature at a deeper level.
Engaging with Each Layer of Your Being 🌱
In this course, we will journey through the 5 Layers of the Yoga Koshas:
- Annamaya Kosha (Physical Sheath): Our tangible body—muscles, bones, and organs—engaged with asanas and a balanced diet.
- Pranamaya Kosha (Energetic Sheath): The life force within us, including our breath and energetic channels. Practices like pranayama nurture this layer.
- Manomaya Kosha (Mental Sheath): Our mind's thoughts, emotions, and mental patterns. Meditation and mindfulness help us navigate this space.
- Vijnanamaya Kosha (Wisdom Sheath): Associated with wisdom, intuition, and insight. This layer is nurtured through self-reflection and study.
- Anandamaya Kosha (Bliss Sheath): The innermost layer, linked to joy, contentment, and spiritual connection. Spiritual practices and acts of kindness can awaken this bliss.
